2026 Juneteenth Events Happening Outdoors This Month

Juneteenth arrives with long days, warm weather, and every reason to be outside.

Spending Juneteenth outdoors is about more than enjoying a beautiful day. It's about remembering that freedom and land have always been connected. Black history didn't just happen in cities and classrooms—it happened on farms, in forests, on rivers, and across landscapes shaped by generations of Black labor, stewardship, resilience, and joy.

This Juneteenth, we hope you’ll celebrate freedom, community and connection to the outdoors. Below are a few events happening across the NYC area.
